EchoLink Configuration

Special events call signs can be used on Echolink but not to register. Amateur radio operators are required to register under their licensed call sign. The software permits you to use a station descriptor. JOTA stations are asked to use the following format:

JOTA: your call sign

This enables easy recognition on the system.

Amateur radio operators should register with Echolink before October 1. Go to http://www.echolink.org for details and registration. More:

The BSA JOTA operators' guide at http://www.scouting.org/jota/operators_guides states:

"D-STAR reflectors REF019A and REF019C will also be active for JOTA weekend."
